| Big Eyes gives you the widest field of vision available today. Compared with traditional masks, it is 30° wider in all directions, not least downwards: Cressi has researched and patented the angle of the lenses to guarantee all-round visibility. |
| This makes the problem of getting changed in the water a thing of the past. To ensure that the wider field of vision does not interfere with compensation, the Big Eyes' internal volume is comparable to that of a traditional mask. The double lens design makes for extremely natural vision and does not tire out the eyes. The profiled anatomical frame is streamlined to the maximum, so much so that it disappears before your eyes. If the visibility is perfect, the seal is quite outstanding: hypoallergenic anatomical silicone skirt; seal ring all around the skirt and adjustable buckles which make for a perfectly comfortable fit. Bifocal lenses for Big Eyes As from this year, the Big Eyes mask also comes with bifocal lenses. The special vertical elongated shape of this mask makes it possible to create excellent bifocals, suitable for people with vision problems who find it hard to read instruments or focus on objects close-up (long-sightedness). The upper two thirds of the lens are made from normal glass, and the bottom third is made from a graduated lens. So it is possible to see longer distance objects with a visual field that more or less corresponds to a conventional mask. By looking downwards you can focus on objects that are closer, and more importantly read the command instruments without any problems. It is not difficult to replace the lenses but we recommend taking the mask to an authorized retailer who is aware of the correct procedure. The bifocal lenses come in 7 gradations from between +1.00 and +4.00 dioptres, with intervals of half a dioptre. Remember that we already have negative lenses to correct myopia for the Big Eyes masks with gradations of between 1.00 and 6.00 dioptres. | |
